What’s the Everyday Project?

The community relies on Holland Community Aquatic Center for access to high-quality natatorium facilities for swimming instruction, competitive swimming, community wellness, leisure swimming and play. The Everday Project is a renovation and expansion to ensure we can serve every family, every day for years to come.

Our construction and renovation project is now underway. We will be removing the storage shed on 24th Street and expanding the parking lot west up to Washington Avenue in alignment with the site plans we shared last year.

This important work, approved and funded by voters last May, will be the first visible steps we are taking toward an expansion and renovation that will better serve our community for years to come.

What Will Everyday mean for our community?

Everyday Access for All

Steady community growth has brought our facility to capacity, making it difficult to balance simultaneous uses, especially during swim meets. The expansion and renovation will add and optimize space to ensure everyday access for families, athletes and individual users of all ages.

More Space & Better Services

We are adding a warm-water leisure area, lap pool and family change rooms dedicated to community users. We are also renovating wellness spaces, adding a new diving and lap pool to the 50-meter competitive pool area and increasing spectator seating.

Financial Sustainability

We understand our responsibility to wisely steward taxpayer dollars. With the upgrades, HCAC can host larger meets, grow membership, and bring in additional sources of revenue to ensure long-term sustainability.

Caring for Our Environment

The renovation and expansion of HCAC will greatly improve the energy and water efficiency of our facility. We are also making critical mechanical upgrades for efficient air quality and water management systems in our existing space.
