The Holland Community Aquatic Center is committed to offering equipment to accommodate almost any workout need! Our Fitness Room is currently open during specific hours, with limited capacity restrictions due to COVID-19. Access to the fitness room is available with a single visit admission as well as a membership. 

Equipment

  • Cardio Machines: Treadmills, Ellipticals, Spin Bikes, Recumbent Bikes, Upright Bike, Rowing Machine
  • Machine Weights for Upper and Lower Body
  • Free Weights (1-100 lbs)
  • Open Space for Aerobic Exercise
  • Stretching Area
  • TV’s
Fitness room age guidelines:

Ages 12-15: Need completed orientation, a parental consent form on file, and be accompanied by a parent in fitness room at all times. Use is limited to only aerobic equipment. Use of any weight machines or free weights in prohibited, even with adult supervision.
Ages 16-17: Need completed orientation and a parental consent form on file. Parental supervision is not required.

Fitness Classes

True fitness needs to be from the foundation up! This Framework class focuses on alignment of the structural elements of the body and includes strength and flexibility while improving balance and coordination. Framework encompasses a full body workout to make you feel energized, challenged, and ready to take on more and more.

HCAC Yoga classes are align based and designed for participants of all abilities. You learn more about the art of Yoga through a calm and relaxing environment while channeling energy to develop your own skills. This class will create a quiet and meditative place for your physical and mental health.

The deep water (12 feet+) aerobics class provides maximum resistance for a great non impact workout. This is a perfect platform to increase muscle tone, build strength, and flexibility in a aerobic capacity. Working against the water with your body submerged challenges you to move using only your muscles and joints. Perfect for everyone to try.

Shallow Water Aerobics provides a great cardio workout. There is an emphasis is on raising the heart rate and maintaining a faster pace while also increasing your flexibility in a low impact environment. The water is up to 12 times more resistant than a workout on land so this is a different full body workout.

 

Water works is a class built around the warm water for the release of tight muscles and lengthening of tissues. Exercises are focused on balance, range of motion, core stability, and posture. It’s ideal for people with arthritis, or joint problems and helps make daily task easier. The water helps support each movement so you can continue to move freely.
